The Northern Westchester Parent Child Group is hosting a talk Tues. Nov. 29 from 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Organizers say you can learn what to do when an emergency happens at home or at the playground, what you should have in your emergency kit, how to handle cuts, head injuries, burns, tick/insect bites, allergic reactions, poisonings to what to expect in the ER. 2. Mistletoe Mart announced
The Bedford Presbyterian Church will host Christmas shoppers from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December and offer fun activities like a cartoon artist who will make a holiday-themed portrait of children or families; a gingerbread house contest; Santa's workshop, where children can make gifts, decorate Christmas cookies and shop for presents for family and friends; and a consignment booth featuring Bedford artist Barbara Wilson, who will display and sell her original art and prints. Santa Claus will greet children from his sleigh, and members of the Bedford Presbyterian Women's Association will offer their one-of-a-kind handcrafts, lovingly made and unique to Mistletoe Mart. Featured will be decorated slates, made from pieces of the 19th century church roof; shell mirror frames; place mats, knitwear, decorated gourds and lightbulbs, among many items. Proceeds from Mistletoe Mart will go to charitable organizations.

3. Fox Lane Boosters benefit from business patronage
Three Mt. Kisco businesses are hosting events this week to benefit the Fox Lane Boosters club. On Tues. Nov. 29, from 5 -10 pm, the deals are at BGR, The Burger Joint; on Wed. Nov 30th from 11 am - 9 pm the action is at Frannie's Goodie Shop and Arcadia-on-Main hosts deals on Thurs. Dec 1st from 6 - 9 pm. A portion of the sales proceeds from a designated date and timed are donated to the FLSBC.
4. Blood drive in Katonah
will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Monday, Nov. 28, from 3 to 9 p.m in response to the dire need of blood in the area. No appointments are necessary and childcare will be provided.
5. Christmas Tree Sale in Bedford Hills
Beautiful fresh cut Christmas trees will be sold at a Rotary sponsored sale. A coupon book for local merchants and restaurants will be included with each tree sold. Proceeds to benefit Polio Plus and local scholarships.
