K-L District Seeks Input Via Survey

Residents will be able to access the online survey with code included in a mailing to every entity in the district.

A survey asking residents to give input regarding program quality and services in Katonah-Lewisboro schools has been posted on the district website, the district announced this week.

The questions are about communication, student services, technology, finance, buildings and grounds and co-curricular activities, among other topics.

“Obtaining the opinions of our parents and other residents will enable us to further measure the perceptions that exist about our District within the community, and identify strengths as well as areas that we can improve upon,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Kreutzer in a statement. “Understanding current satisfaction levels is a valuable factor in working toward fulfilling District goals and developing new ones.”

The survey was approved by the board of education at its Nov. 3 board meeting.

In the next few days, every home and business in the district will receive a postcard containing their code. In order to participate, survey respondents must input a four-digit code that is located on the mailing label of the postcard, officials said.

As part of the district's outreach, a telephone survey of 300 residents was already conducted, according to a representative of Syntax, the public relations firm administering the survey.

Only one survey can be taken from a unique IP address, therefore any additional surveys submitted from the same IP address will be disregarded. Syntax will be tabluating results from surveys that match the proprietary list of codes they are using.
