SUNY New Paltz Dean's List
The following local residents were named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the Fall 2011 semester.
Caitlyn Korren, of Bedford, majoring in Geology.
Ian Savitz,of Bedford, majoring in English.
Samantha Kaplan, of Bedford Hills is majoring in Visual Arts.
Elena Kilcullen, of Bedford Hills has not yet declared a major.

Benjamin Krieger, of Katonah is majoring in Computer Science.
Vincent Perrone III, of Katonah is majoring in Communication Media.
Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.
Katonah resident graduates from UVM
Ryan J. McAllister of Katonah, NY received a BA degree in Economics within the College of Arts & Sciences during the 208th Commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont, held in December.
Students make Dean's List at Keene College
Keene State College has released the Dean's List for the fall semester 2011. Among the 1,501 students named to the Dean's List are:
Alyssa Hirschberg of Katonah and Kristin Powers of Katonah
The Dean's List designation is bestowed to those Keene State College undergraduates enrolled in a degree program who have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. A 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale is required to earn the Dean's List honor.

To be eligible for dean's list status, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis (A through C) to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
