Man Arrested Twice in One Day Faces Harassment and Drug Charges

A 28 year old Bedford Corners man is in jail after he was arrested in Mt. Kisco on the afternoon of March 12 and arrested again at his home later that evening.
Bedford police responded to multiple reports of an erratic driver on South Bedford Road at 1:48 p.m. Monday. After a local resident followed the car driven by Michael Wolstencroft, police were able to stop the vehicle on Barker Street, just off McLain Street in Mt. Kisco. The car Wolstencroft was driving had significant body damage including a partially shredded tire.
Police said Wolstencroft appeared to be intoxicated and at first refused field sobriety tests. After some questioning, the defendant—who allegedly had trouble standing at the scene—admitted to taking prescription Xanax, then submitted and failed on-site tests. At police headquarters, a drug recognition expert determined Wolstencroft to have ability impaired by drugs.

He was released to his family on $200 bail.
Later that day at approximately 6:50 p.m. police responded to a report of a physical altercation at Wolstencroft's home in Bedford Corners. He and his father allegedly fought because the elder Wolstencroft would not turn over the keys to his car to Michael Wolstencroft, whom police arrested for a second time that day.

While placing him under arrest, police located a needle in his sweatshirt pocket, which Wolstencroft said contained oxycontin.
The list of charges Wolstencroft now faces includes two counts of third degree criminal possession of forged insrument, ability impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a hypdodermic instrument, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second degree harassment. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
