Man Walking On I-684 Struck And Killed Early Monday Morning: NYSP

He had been walking in the left lane of I-684, in North Salem, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle, state police said.

NORTH SALEM, NY — Police are investigating the circumstances that led to pedestrian being struck in a deadly collision on the interstate.

The New York State Police say that on Monday, around 2 a.m., troopers from Somers responded to the the area of mile marker 24.3 southbound on I-684, in North Salem, after receiving a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

An initial investigation found that a man had been walking in the left lane of I-684 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle, according to NYSP.
