Man Walking On I-684 Struck And Killed Early Monday Morning: NYSP

NORTH SALEM, NY — Police are investigating the circumstances that led to pedestrian being struck in a deadly collision on the interstate.

The New York State Police say that on Monday, around 2 a.m., troopers from Somers responded to the the area of mile marker 24.3 southbound on I-684, in North Salem, after receiving a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

An initial investigation found that a man had been walking in the left lane of I-684 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle, according to NYSP.

State police say that the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the New York State Police Somers Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 914-742-6057.
