16-Year-Old Passenger Found With Loaded Handgun During Traffic Stop: NYSP
The teen was charged with several felonies and was remanded to a juvenile secure facility, according to state police.

CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A traffic stop led to a teenager with a deadly weapon, according to police.
The New York State Police say that on Wednesday, around 7:56 p.m., members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle that had been traveling north on Academy Street, in the City of Poughkeepsie, for traffic violations.
During their investigation, police report finding that a 16-year-old passenger was in possession of a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun.

The teen was charged with felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony criminal possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration.
The 16-year-old was arraigned before the Dutchess County Youth Part and remanded to a juvenile secure facility in lieu of $20,000 cash bail, $40,000 bond or $200,000 partially secured bond.
