New LGBT Show Airs on Local Radio, K-L School Board Meets

1. K-L school board meets

On the agenda is a presentation by the district's external auditors. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the John Jay High School library.

2. Local radio station debuts LGBT program

WDFH FM 90.3 is offering a new show airing Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. The first episode, to be broadcast on October 6, will focus on the role of Gay-Straight Alliances in schools.  It will include a discussion among several of the students behind OutCasting.

4. Creation Station at JFC

For toddlers 12 months and up, with a caregiver, there's a new program at the Jewish Family Congregation in South Salem called Creation Station. Run by enrichment teacher Jane Emmer, it runs from Oct. through Jan.
