Nominations Needed: Whiz Kids on Bedford-Katonah Patch

Whiz Kids is returning to Bedford-Katonah Patch.

The school year for students is now well underway in the Bedford Central and Katonah Lewisboro school districts.

We are returning the "Whiz Kids" feature on a regular basis beginning next week. The feature honors young people who have accomplished a special goal, overcome obstacles, or simply helped a neighbor, classmate or community.

Wonder what a "Whiz Kid" looks like? It's your friend, your neighbor, your teammate, your classmate, your son or daughter, student volunteer, youth group, athlete or talented artist.

Take a look at some of our past Whiz Kids.

They include a songwriter, a frisbee team, nonprofit fundraisers, a valedictorian and a child who asked for book donations instead of birthday presents.
