Bedford Police: Mt. Kisco Woman Charged With DWI

A Mt. Kisco woman was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI after driving her 2005 Mercedes up an embankment on McClain Street, police said.

Patricia Byrns, 43, was observed by Bedford police as having difficulty staying in her lane while driving eastbound from Bedford Road to Green Lane on Jan. 28.

After following Byrns' car until she reached the embankment, police administered field sobriety tests, at approximately 2 a.m. Byrns failed the tests and admitted to drinking at a bar, then refused to take a pre-screen alco-sensor test. She was taken to headquarters, where she submitted to a chemical test which resulted in .24 BAC, more than three times the legal limit.

She was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and refusing a pre-screen test. She was released on $100 bail pending a return to town court.

Bedford Hills man charged with DWI

Police arrested Antonio Guzman, 47, on Jan. 29 after he was observed driving southbound on Bedford Road in Katonah in a Lexus with no headlamps illuminated.

Police said Guzman crossed the double yellow lines while driving. After they stopped him, at 1:21 a.m., police observed that he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcoholic beverages. Guzman admitted to drinking "four beers at a party," and submitted to a chemical test which resulted in a .16 BAC, twice the legal limit. He was released on $100 bail pending a return to town court.

Greenwich teen charged with marijuana possession

Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Greenwich, CT on Bedford Center Road on Jan. 29. After police pulled the youth at over at 10:41 p.m. for not stopping his 2003 Chevy at a stop sign, they observed what appeared to be nervous behavior. Officers asked him he had anything he shouldn't have in his possession and the youth produced a small ziploc bag of marijuana. He was released without bail pending an appearance in town court.

Goldens Bridge man charged with unlicensed driving

Trevor Serraro, 31, of Goldens Bridge was arrested on Jan. 28 and charged with third-degree unlicensed operation of a car with tinted windows and defective head lamps. Police observed him driving on Bedford Road with a passenger headlight not working and stopped him. A computer check showed Serrero had a suspended license resulting from a failure to answer summons originating in the town of Lewisboro. He was released on $50 bail pending a return to town court. 

Missing chainsaw, wheelbarrow

Bedford police are also investigating two larcenies: A chainsaw removed from Hawthorne Brothers Tree Service on Jan. 27 and a wheelbarrow removed from a Hickory Lane property on Jan. 26.
