Bedford Police: Mt. Kisco Woman Charged With Shoplifting

Juana Lopez, 23, of Mt. Kisco, was arrested on Feb. 11 after store security officers at in Bedford Hills allegedly found her outside of the store with merchandise she had not paid for.

Police officers said Lopez had removed clothes and perfume valued at $514 in her large pocketbook. Lopez was charged with petty larceny and released on $250 bail pending a return to town court.

Thomas Farmer, 63, of Bedford Corners, was arrested after police stopped him for allegedly speeding on Bedford Center Road. Farmer, 63, was clocked at 62 in a 40 miles-per-hour zone, near Stonebridge Lane. A computer check showed previous suspension for not answering a summons in Queens County, NY. He was released without bail pending a court appearance.

Katonah, South Salem youths arrested

Two 17-year-old males were arrested on Feb. 10 after they were reportedly acting suspicously near on Bedford Road.  

Police said the two youths were observed being picked up by a car, then stopped by Bedford police, who observed alcoholic beverages in the car. When asked if anyone was over the age of 21, the youths responded negatively.

The Katonah teen admitted the alcohol was his and was charged under New York's ABC laws, which prohibit the ossession of an alcoholic beverage with the intent to consume by persons under the age of twenty-one years. The South Salem youth was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after admitting that the small quantity of marijuana officers found in the car was his.

They were released without bail pending future court appearances.
