Police Release Sex Assault Suspect Sketch
Bedford police are seeking this man for questioning in a May 18 sexual assault.

have released a sketch of the man suspected of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old female on the nature trails located behind on the evening of May 17.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 50s, 6' 2" and 220 pounds. He has salt and pepper hair which was combed from front to back and had no part, according to police. He had a full beard that was neatly groomed with 1 to 2” of growth. He was wearing a heather grey t-shirt, faded blue jeans and black shoes.
The young woman was walking her dog on the wooded trails just north of the glebe police said. After the assault, she was able to exit the woods onto St. Matthew's property and contact police. She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital for treatment, and released.

The assault for regular hikers of the scenic trails, which include the 26-acre Ketchum Preserve. The wooded area owned by the church, called the glebe, features a rustic outdoor chapel.
