Family U Registration Deadline Extended til Sunday

Registration is online only and closes this Sunday at 4 p.m. Go to:http://klfamilyuniversity.eventbrite.com. There will be no walk-ins this year. is Wed.,Nov. 9 from 6:15 - 9:15 p.m. at the John Jay Middle School and features keynote speaker, Rachel Simmons. Late school tax payment deadline extended til Nov. 15

The town board extended until Nov. 15 the deadline for accepting late school tax payments at only a 2 percent penalty. The accommodation, occasioned by this past weekend’s Nor’easter, it was requested by Tax Receiver Amy Pectol and averted an escalation of the penalty to 5 percent, which had been scheduled to kick in Nov. 1.
Art Auction at Fox Lane High School postponed
The art auction originally scheduled for Thurs. Nov. 3 has been postponed due to the storm and power outages. The event is organized by Bedford’s Friends of Music and the Arts (FOMA) and Community Education Foundation (CEF), which teamed up to raise money for the new Fox Lane High School Art Gallery Courtyard. A new date has not been announced.
