Potholes: Where are They?

Post here to let us know where the worst are in your neighborhood.

Despite the fact that we had a virtually snow-free winter, some of the town's streets have still taken a beating over the winter.

The town repair potholes all winter long, weather permitting, and above-average temperatures have given highway crews ample opportunity to patch up gaps in local roads.

Potholes appear when the pavement cracks, moisture builds up in the crack and then freezes and thaws. It's a problem that the town really can't avoid.

Potholes can be a year-long problem but are especially noticable in the spring after streets are plowed and sanded over the winter. While the areas for the most part escaped severe winter weather, there still are sections of roads that look like they've been chewed up and are in need of repair.

You can report potholes to Bedford's department of public works or you can post problem areas here—post the location in the comments, and if you can, snap a photo and upload it here (please watch for oncoming cars!)
