Proposed Town Budget Comes in Just Under Cap, Just Before Elections

1. Bedford's working budget comes in just under cap
In the midst of power outages and providing emergency services to locals, Bedford's town board submitted a tentative budget that comes in just under the state-mandated 2 percent cap, about a month after the board voted for the authority to override the cap if necessary. We'll have a more detailed brief on the budget proposal later today.

5. Perfect Fall days early in the week
Get out for foliage hikes before the last leaves fall—temperatures are forecast to be seasonal and good for getting out. On Monday is should be sunny, with a high near 58, according to the National Weather Service, and Tuesday and Wednesday look to be even nicer, with a highs in the low 60s. Rain headed our way Thursday.
