Readers Choose Mianus River Gorge as Best Place to Hike

Readers have chosen Bedford's as their favorite place to hike. The 750-acre preserve received 56 percent of the 99 votes cast, with as a close second.

For folks who have never explored the preserve but would like to—it's open to the public starting April 1, from 8:30am to 5pm. During the winter months it's closed to allow the trails to rest and give the staff time to and focus on conservation. Donations are welcome.
