Son Threatens Mother With BB Gun

Josephy Nyitray of Bedford was arrested on March 19 after he told his mother he would use his BB gun to kill her.

Bedford police responded to a domestic incident call at 3:47 p.m. at a home on West Patent Road. The 78-year-old homeowner, Nyitray's mother, said he threatened her after the two had argued. Police arrested Nyitray, 50, and charged him with third-degree menacing, a misdemeanor. 

Nyitray was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 bail and a temporary order of protection was put into place for his mother. set currently in jail in lieu of and order of protection for mom.

Bedford Hills woman charged with drug possession

Alyssa Mounty, 20, was arrested on March 14 after police found ADD medication in her car for which she had no prescription.

Police stopped the car in which Mounty was a passenger in around 12:52 a.m. on Bedford Road near Depot Plaza because it had tinted windows. During their investigation, police discovered Mounty had a single pill of vyvanse, a medication used to control hyperactivity. Because she had no prescription for the pill, Mounty was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession. She was released without bail pending an appearance in town court.

Bedord Hills riders stiff taxi driver

Police received a report of theft from a Manhattan cab driver who said on March 16, two individuals rode in his taxi from Manhattan to Bedford Hills and upon arriving at their destination they fled on foot without paying.

Housekeeper charged with grand larceny

Talita Taricano was arrested on March 8 after she admitted to stealing jewelry and a laptop computer from a residence she cleaned on Wakan Drive in Katonah.

Taricano, 28, was employed by the housecleaning service Town and Country when the residents reported the items missing. Taricano also admitted to stealing from other homes in Bedford and in Lewisboro. She was remanded to Westchester County jail in lieu of $30,000 bail and is due back in Bedford town court.
