South Salem Man Charged with Marijuana Possession

Brian James Forbes, 20, of Souh Salem, was arrested on Sept. 25 after Bedfod police found his car parked on Mt. Holly Road. Police said they approached the car and asked Forbes to get out. After he stepped out, police said he admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in his pants pocket.
He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and released on $40 bail pending an appearance in town court.

Bronx man charged with speeding
Hernan Castro, 48, of the Bronx, was arrested on Sept. 21 on Harris Road in Bedford Hills, and charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a car, operating a car with a suspended registration and speeding. Castro was allegedly driving 58 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone. He was released on $150 bail pending a return to town court.

Unlicensed driver charged in driving arrest
Andrew Miller, 21, of Clinton Corners, NY was arrested on Old Corner Road in Bedford on Sept. 22 and charged with operating a car with a suspended registration and no insurance, and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a car. Miller's car was tagged by the Bedford police and a computer check revealed suspensions in effect. He was released on $250 bail pending an appearance in town court.
Burglary on Penwood Road
Bedford police received report of an alleged burglary that took place on Sept. 23 and 25th. There was no forced entry but $1,000 in jewelry was reported missing. The investigation is active.
