1. Counseling hotline available for grieving families
Dr. Grant E Mitchell, Westchester County Commissioner of Community Mental Health and a resident of Lewisboro, has organized a critical incident team to help families who are in need of counseling following the . The team includes mental health professionals and individuals with experience in providing support and assistance to communities during times of need. On Wednesday he established a hotline to assist those in need with support and referrals to professionals in the community who can help. The number is 914-995-5236; calls will be taken Monday – Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

4. The League of Women Voters announces forum
Just in time for election season, the local League of Women Voters has established a new web presence and announced their upcoming forums. In Bedford, candidates for the county board of legislators and the town board and justice have been invited to the Fox Lane High School auditorium on Wednesday, October 26 at 7:30pm.
5. All-state musicians selected from Fox Lane
Two Fox Lane High School musicians have been selected from thousands of students throughout New York State to participate in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Ensembles.
