The Barn at Bedford Post Extends Dining Hours

Fans of The Barn's breakfast and lunch have another reason to stop by—they've added evening dinner hours through Thursday nights.

The festive winter ambiance at the casual side of the Bedford Post Inn—the area of the Inn known as the Farmhouse offers fine dining on the weekends—and new raw bar have proved so popular that they've extended the dining experience, according to Oscar Henquet, general manager.

“We felt the coziness of The Barn, plus new menu options and an expanded seating area at the bar counter have been a huge homerun with our guests," he said. "Not to mention, Chef Jeremy McMillan has been able to capture the magic of the fireplace in his own cooking with some new dishes that are even prepared over the open flame."

What are some of those new dishes prepared over the fireplace?

McMillan's beef stew, "fireplace focaccia"—toasted in the fireplace and served with ricotta—and the barn burger and fries, which pleases both kids and adults, Henquet said.

Make your reservations now through March, when the special winter menu ends.

And if you're looking for somewhere special to take your sweetheart on Valentine's Day, reservations are available for the holiday menu, which includes steak tartare, wild mushroom minestra, vegetable cassoulet, and for dessert, a choice of flourless chocolate cake, wickham avenue cheesecake or pavlova.
