Troopers: Man Tried to Sneak Contraband into Jail

A 60-year-old Buchanan man is facing a misdemeanor charge after an incident at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, police say.

New York State Police arrested Daniel N. Bisbano at about 9:40 a.m. Thursday. He is accused of attempting to smuggle a cell phone into the prison, which is located on Harris Road.

Troopers charged Bisbano with introducing contraband into a prison in the second degree. He was released pending a future appearance in Bedford Justice Court.
