VIDEO: Vocal Jazz Group Dazzles K-L School Board
Led by Steven Morse, instructional leader in Performing Arts, the John Jay High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble performed at Thursday night's board of education meeting.
Vocalists from delighted school board members and parents Thursday night with a performance preceding the start of the board of education meeting.
The group performed two selections: "I'll Be Seeing You," by Sammy Fain and Irving Kahal, Arranged by Darmon Meader, and "Words," by Anders Edenroth.
The group has earned accolades—last March they r, placing fourth out of 16 groups at the Berklee High School Jazz Festival in Boston. They make a return trip next month. If you've never seen them sing, check out their talents in the video posted with this story.
