A water main break on Haines Road near Bedford Hills Memorial Park is currently being excavated with repairs estimated for early Wednesday afternoon, highway officials said.
The break occurred around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and caused residents of the Lakeside at Bedford condominiums to wake up with low water pressure. The water supply was shut off soon after, affecting service to residents of Haines Road, Lakeside at Bedford and Bedford Lake Apartments.

Bedford police closed Haines Road early this morning to expedite cleanup and repairs but one lane has since been re-opened for traffic.
Highway crews are digging up the area to identify the location and type of break, said Kevin Winn, Bedford's commissioner of public works.
