Snow and sleet may not have hit the area yet, but according to the National Weather Service, they will.

Weather

Here's the updated forecast as of 10 a.m.: There's a chance snow could start before noon, but the precipitation will pick up between noon and 4 p.m. Expect a mix of rain and snow and a high of 37 degrees. Though the total daytime accumulation is forecast to be less than an inch, wet roads could make for tough driving conditions.

Bedford trucks have been switched from brush removal to snow removal mode, according to the highway department. Andy Rosafort reports that 12 trucks are ready to go. Warmer ground temperatures could help prevent hazardous road conditions, he said.
