Updated: Snowstorm on the Way for Bedford-Katonah

Northern Westchester will likely get hit with a major snowstorm Friday night, according to the National Weather Service—strong winds combined with heavy snowfall could bring blizzard-like conditions.
The NWS has issued a winter storm watch for Friday night, forecasting "significant snowfall, strong winds with near blizzard conditions."

Here's the NWS forecast for Friday:
- Snow before 3pm, then rain, snow, and sleet. The rain and snow could be heavy at times. High near 36. East wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
- Friday Night Snow with areas of blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 21. Blustery, with a northeast wind 17 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 48 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 7 to 11 inches possible.
