1. Federal holiday is today

When a federal holiday like New Year's Day falls on a non-workday, the holiday takes place on the following workday—in this case, Mon. Jan. 2. All federal, state and local government offices are closed today. Banks have the option so check with your local branch before heading to see a teller.

3. School taxes due this month

4. Bedford rec programs start Jan. 9

Winter program registration is ongoing, and there are programs planned to suit all ages and interests. New programs in the winter line-up include: Pet CPR & 1st Aid and Thursday evening Yoga. Click here for the Fall/Winter brochure.
