Women's Health to be Discussed, Knitted Items Needed to Decorate

2. Physicians to discuss women's health at Civic Club Luncheon

Dr. Sarah Chacko, a gynecologist, and Dr. Galya Lodish, an internist, will discuss women's health issues following the monthly business meeting of the The meeting is Thursday Feb 9 at 11:30 a.m. The club is open to all local women and attendance is encouraged. There is no charge but those planning to attend should call Mary Jo O'Brien at 666-2064.

Today's Baker's Table has a great recipe, along with pictures, of holiday treats you can make for yourself or make with your kids to give to others. Just in time to pick up supplies for a weekend kitchen activity! Check back at 3 p.m. for details.
4. Loan your knitted items to Little Joe's
is participating in a national contest which challenges bookstores to decorate themselves in yarn in celebration of the well-reviewed book, The Extra Yarn. is getting into the spirit and spreading the word as well—in order to fully decorate the store for the project (think books ln knitted sweaters and skeins of yarn hanging from the ceiling) the store is looking for hand-knit loaners. The items at either Little Joe's or Katonah Yarn before February 25th, and will be returned the beginning of March. The store is also looking for extra balls of yarn, which will be donated to the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women afterwards.
5. Shout-out to Andrew Barret Cox
Bedford's Andrew Barret Cox, a sophomore Audio Post Production major at Emerson College, was selected to perform in X Dance, an Emerson College dance performance that will bring "grace, agility, and beauty to the stage on its February 9 premiere at Emerson's Greene Theater," according to the school's press materials. Congratulations!
