Bellmore Avenue is filled with thriving businesses, but vacancies still remain.
The property that once housed Shear Heaven Hair Salon at 1876 Bellmore Ave. still lies empty.
Alamgir Mohammad, owner of the nearby Bellmore Mini Mart, said that he would like to see an electronic store open in the building.
"I don't see any electronic stores around here and people are always buying cellphones and things," he said. "I think it would be a good fit."
Taibah, a Bellmore resident, had a few ideas for the property.
"I think a nice boutique with different types of scarves and accessories would be good," she said. "Or an express McDonald's for the kids coming home from school. We have no fast food around here."
