Several Bellmore JFK Seniors Receive Inaugural Jewish Athletes Award

It's part of the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in Suffolk County.

BELLMORE, NY — Four seniors at John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore received the inaugural Jewish Athletes Award from the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Those recognized were Zach Adelstein, Abigayle Finkelstein, Kayla Indich and Eli Lowenstein.

“This special event shines a light on the achievements of students who proudlyrepresent both their schools and their heritage,” said Marlie Cohen, deputy CEO of the Mid Island Y JCC and Suffolk Y JCC.

The Hall of Fame is housed at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack.

Veteran sportscaster Kenny Albert was inducteed to the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame last month as part of the Class of 2025.
