3. North Bellmore Boy Honored by American Legion Auxiliary: David Collins, 12, of North Bellmore was presented with the American Legion Auxiliary Youth Hero Award at a ceremony held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum.

2. Forty Percent of New Homes on Former Army Base Sold:  About 40 percent of the seventy-nine new homes that are set to be built on the former U.S. Army base in North Bellmore have been sold through pre-sales.

1. New Kosher Butcher Shop to Open in Bellmore: A new kosher butcher shop, For Goodness Steaks, is set to open on Merrick Road.
