Library District Board Member Honored with State Library Award (weny.com) — Big Flats Library patrons benefit directly from a longtime volunteer’s statewide recognition, as Friends of the Chemung County Library District leader Joe Caparulo receives the prestigious Velma K. Moore Award. His decades of work helped create a permanent bookstore that funds new children’s books and supports programs at Steele Memorial, Big Flats, Horseheads, Van Etten, West Elmira libraries and the Bookmobile.
