3 Hurt After Car Overturns Onto LIE Guardrail

BRENTWOOD, NY – Three people were injured when a car overturned onto a guardrail on the Long Island Expressway Friday night.

The single-car crash occurred near Exit 53 in Brentwood.

The East Brentwood Fire Department responded to the scene. Chief of Department E. Vasquez confirmed that one vehicle had rolled over and was on top of the guardrail with occupants underneath. Firefighters extracted three people from the car and later used a winch to upright the vehicle.

All three people were taken to local hospitals. Suffolk Police did not have information Saturday morning regarding the severity of the injuries.
