Bomb Threat At Central Islip Target Prompts Police Search

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY – Target in Central Islip was cleared for business as usual by Suffolk County police after receiving a bomb threat on Tuesday night.

Police responded to Target at 160 North Research Place in Central Islip after a "threatening call" with a bomb threat was made to the store at around 10:50 p.m. on May 7, police told Patch.

Police said the store "was searched and it was determined there was no issue."

A Target representative told Patch that although the store was searched, it was not evacuated.
