Dead Man Found In Tent On Long Island: Police

A man was found dead in a tent-like enclosure on Long Island on Tuesday, Suffolk County police say.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A man was found dead in Central Islip on Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

Police said the man, who they have not yet identified, was found dead in the tent-like enclosure on the southside of Suffolk Avenue, near Carleton Avenue, around 12:30 p.m.

The preliminary investigation and exam were inconclusive regarding the cause of death and it will be determined by an autopsy conducted by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.
