Before firefighters arrived, the homeowner had extinguished a "majority of the fire with a garden hose and stopped it from spreading any farther into the home," the post said.
While battling the flames, firefighters stretched a hose line around to the rear of the house and extinguished the remainder of the fire while truck companies opened up the wall and floor to make access.
