Investigation Continues In Brentwood Human Remains Case: Police
Human remains were discovered in a Brentwood sump at Fifth Avenue and Bancroft Road on Nov. 4, Suffolk County police say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are continuing their investigation into the human remains found in Brentwood in early November, police told Patch on Thursday.
Although police said there are currently "no updates," the search for answers continues.
"Cases of human remains stay open until the ID is determined and the cause of death," police said.

On the morning of Nov. 4, Third Precinct officers responded to a report of remains found in a sump at Fifth Avenue and Bancroft Road and determined the remains were human, police said.
The remains were transported to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner to determine the identity and cause of death, police said.
