LI Teacher Paid Student $150 To Pose Nude For Him: Police

A Long Island high school teacher paid a female student $150 to pose nude for him and another teen $5 to send him a photo of herself in a bikini, Suffolk Police said Friday in detailing the allegations against 70-year-old Jairo Inswasty.

Inswasty is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He has reportedly been suspended with pay from his job as a math teacher at Central Islip High School.

Accoridng to Suffolk Police, Inswasty, of Islandia, paid one 16-year-old female student to send him an inappropriate photograph of herself. He paid another 16-year-old female student to allow him to take nude photographs of her and also offered her an iPhone in exchange for sex, which she declined.

“It’s really quite shocking, quite frankly, for an adult in that situation of trust to engage in this behavior and take advantage of these young women the way he did,” Suffolk County Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart said during a press briefing Friday.
