Man Robs Suffolk Bank: Police
He threatened violence while displaying what appeared to be a gun in his waistband, and the teller gave him cash, police say.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A man robbed a Central Islip bank on Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said.
A man entered Bank of America, at 185 Wheeler Road, around 9:30 a.m. and verbally demanded cash, police said. He threatened violence while displaying what appeared to be a gun in his waistband, police said.
The teller complied and the man ran away with cash, police said.

The robber was described by police as black, in his mid to late 30s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with a thin build and long black hair. He was wearing a burgundy flannel shirt and black pants, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
