Man Shot Dead In Brentwood Friday: Police

The North Babylon man was killed in the shooting, police say.

BRENTWOOD, NY — A Brentwood man was arrested after fatally shooting another man Friday night, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, the incident took place on Charter Oaks Avenue in Brentwood at 6 p.m. Joshua E. Jasmin, 30, of North Babylon, was transported via Brentwood Legion Ambulance to South Shore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Following an investigation, Romeo Campbell, 23, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, police said.

He was held overnight and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, police said.
