Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Suffolk Early Sunday: Police
No charges were filed in the crash, police said.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A male pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday in Central Islip, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, a man was crossing Suffolk Avenue, about 100 feet east of Church Street, at 2:40 a.m. when he was struck by a westbound 2014 Honda Pilot, driven by Alba Cujcuj, 59, of Bay Shore.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk

County Medical Examiner, police said. Cujcuj, 59, of Bay Shore, was not injured; the Honda was impounded for a safety check, police said.
No charges were filed in the crash, police said.
