Boy, 11, Injured After Crashing Dirt Bike Into Car On Long Island: Police
A young boy riding a dirt bike was hit by a car and hospitalized with serious injuries on Long Island, Suffolk County police say.
BRENTWOOD, NY — A young boy riding a dirt bike was hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing into a car on Long Island Sunday night, according to Suffolk County police.
Bryson Calhoun, 11, of Brentwood, was operating a dirt bike southbound on Winnie Lane in Brentwood when he turned left onto Winston Drive and crashed into the passenger side of a 2013 Kia Optima that was traveling westbound at around 7:40 p.m., police said.
Police said Calhoun was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Kia, Nettie Tyson, 67, of Brentwood, was not injured, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
