Bronxville District Voters Approve $52.8 Million 2023-24 Budget

Voters also approved electing school board trustees on an "at-large" basis, with all candidates eligible for all vacancies.

BRONXVILLE, NY — Voters in the Bronxville school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve the 2023-24 budget.

The proposed spending plan of $52.8 million was approved 799 to 174, according to unofficial results.

The budget is up 3.49 percent over the current budget.

The tax levy increase is 2.29 percent, which is under the state tax cap.

Proposition No. 2 — whether to approve a capital reserve fund of up to $20 million — was approved.

Proposition No. 3 was to determine whether all school district elections for board trustees be conducted on an “at large” basis, meaning all candidates are eligible for all vacancies, with the winners determined by receiving the most votes. It was approved.

There were two, three-year vacancies up for election:

  • Christina Skinner was elected to fill the seat currently held by Michael F. Finley.
  • Sara Kenny ran unopposed to fill the seat currently held by Jennifer Russo.
