Bronxville Farm Owner Speaks Out About Mom Accused of Dealing Pot

Andrea Sanderlin, who is accused of dealing millions-of-dollars in marijuana, just seemed like any other Westchester mom, according to the owner of Bronxville's Twin Lakes Farm in a lohud report. Sanderlin and her 13-year-old daughter would frequent the Bronxville Farm's riding academy. The two even took part in horse shows there.

Twin Lakes Farm Owner Scott Tarter says Sanderlin told him that she was an interior designer, and that she had recently made the move to Scarsdale from North Salem. Tarter had been trying to get a hold of Sanderlin, because he was trying to find a new horse for her. He says he was surprised to find out he couldn't get a hold of her because she was in jail.

Sanderlin's estranged father says he hasn't seen his daughter in more than two decades. The last time he spoke with her, he says she told him that she had worked for a record company.

Sanderlin lived with her 13 and 3-year-old daughters in a $2.3 million mansion on Saxon Woods Road. Before that they rented a house on Scarsdale's Morris Lane.

Sanderlin is still waiting for a court date and bail hearing, as she sits behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Sanderlin is accused of growing and trying to sell more than 1,000 marijuana plants out of a Queens warehouse. The Scarsdale mom was arrested on May 20.

Investigators say the divorced Scarsdale mom had millions of dollars worth of marijuana in a Queens warehouse when they arrested her. The facility had multiple rooms with state-of-the-art lighting, irrigation and ventilation, according to DEA special Agent David Lee. Authorities say the marijuana in the facility was worth about $3 million.

The 45-year-old would regularly drive her Mercedes SUV from her mansion in Scarsdale to check on her crops at the warehouse, according to court documents. Sanderlin caught federal investigators' eye after authorities busted fellow Scarsdale resident Stephen Haberstroh back in April, according to NYPost.com.

Sanderlin has pleaded not guilty to the drug charges. Her attorney has not returned our phone call request for comment on the case.
