BRONXVILLE, NY — If you think you saw Hoda Kotb wearing sneakers and corraling two young children to school, with a coffee cup in her hand, your eyes are not necessarily playing tricks on you.

After over two decades at NBC, Kotb announced on Thursday that she will be leaving the "Today" show in early 2025.

"After turning 60 over the summer," the television personality said, "I saw it all so clearly: my broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie."

"Everything changed like that. I have a whole new town and a whole new school and all the new things. We went for our first day of school, I carried a coffee and I had sneakers, and I walked my kids to school like normal people. It was awesome," Kotb said on the September 4 episode of "Today."
