Eastchester High School Coach Fired After 32 Years
A change.org petition has been started to have the coach reinstated.

EASTCHESTER, NY — An Eastchester coach with more than 30 years in the district was fired Wednesday.
Fred DiCarlo, the varsity football and boys basketball coach, was informed in late October that he was under investigation, the Journal News reported.
The reasons for the investigation were said to be from incidents in which DiCarlo berated athletes and used profanity in front of them during the last basketball season.

A change.org petition has been started to have DiCarlo reinstated.
It was started by Tony Panio, who said that DiCarlo had never been disciplined in the past by athletic directors, principals or superintendents “on any major issues.”
He said there were no opportunities for fellow coaches or “the thousands of former players and parents who would be in support of Coach Fred and would think this investigation is nonsense.”
Panio said that no varsity level coaches would be able to coach 15- to 17-year-old boys without using profanity on occasion.
