Eastchester Students' Virtual Fire Fighting
Members of Eastchester's Bravest used a virtual fire extinguisher and flames to teach students how to put out fires.
Students at Eastchester Middle School got a lesson in fire extinguisher usage. Members of the Eastchester Fire Department's Fire Prevention Bureau showed the children how to put out flames, using a virtual fire extinguisher and a virtual fire.
Yesterday's seminar is part of a three part program for seventh graders at the school, through the course of the year. Eastchester Health Teacher Linda Sokol says hearing about fire safety from an actual firefighter helps students better understand the concept of fire safety.
