Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Bronxville Pass 2022-23 Budgets

The budget vote was held Tuesday.

EASTCHESTER, NY — Voters in the Eastchester school district went to the polls Tuesday to approve or turn down a $96.2 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.

The spending package, which represented a budget-to-budget increase of 4.2 percent, was approved 1,754 to 1,350, according to unofficial results.

The 2022-23 budget calls for a tax levy increase of 1.78 percent.

Also up to the voters were filling three trustee seats of three years each and one for a partial term expiring June 30, 2023.

The winning candidates were Laurie Giacobbe, Michele Lawlor, Matthew Fanelli and Christine Civitano-Lombardi. Also on the ballot were incumbents Cheryl C. Smith and Steven Projansky and Stanley Thangaraj and Cardinale B. Smith.

TUCKAHOE, NY — Tuckahoe school district residents went to the poll Tuesday to decide whether to approve a $38.2 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.

The spending package, which represented a 3.52 percent increase over the current year, was approved 70.7 percent to 29.3 percent, according to unofficial results.

The proposed tax levy increase was 2.1 percent.

Therese Gardere and Laura Benke will continue to serve as Board of Education trustees.


BRONXVILLE, NY — Voters in the Bronxville school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve a $ million budget for the 2022-23 school year.

The spending package was approved 915 to 171, according to News 12.
