In November, there will be three Eastchester Town Board seats up for grabs. Republicans will be gunning to fill all three of those spots with candidates from the GOP. Council members Luigi Marcoccia and Fred Salanitro have decided to run for re-election. Also set to run for re-election in November is Town Supervisor Anthony Colavita.
Colavita has been in office for a decade. He has served five terms as supervisors so far. Salanitro served as a council member in 2008, took one year off, and then began serving again in 2010. Marcoccia has previously served one term as a council member. Town board members serve four year terms, while town supervisors serve two year terms.
