EASTCHESTER, NY — A settlement has been reached between an Eastchester golf club and an employee who claimed he was wrongly fired for trying to protect himself from the coronavirus.

Andrew Balint said in federal court he was fired as assistant general manager of the Leewood Golf Club after he wanted to work remotely because he had asthma and type 1 diabetes, the Journal News reported.

The lawsuit was dismissed Jan. 11 after the parties said they had reached a settlement, the details of which were not disclosed.
