The Other Festival Is Taking Girl Power To A Whole New Level

Jenna Lyons, Stacy London and more of the fiercest women in business will all be under one roof for an epic two days of talks and workshops.

You've heard of Rent The Runway, J.Crew, Birchbox and SquareSpace, but have you met the group of incredible women who make these brands so successful?

On Oct. 15 and 16, The Other Festival will host today’s generation of female artists, musicians, chefs, designers, activists and entrepreneurs as they divulge all their secrets behind breaking business rules and shattering the glass ceiling.

According to the festival’s founder, Dee Poku, this kind of event is crucial for women in today’s business landscape. “The Other Festival was specifically created to address the lack of inclusion we saw across the festival landscape,” she said. “We're so proud of the unique and diverse mix of speakers, exhibitors and performers we've attracted to the event.”

Poku also explained the significance of hosting the event in Brooklyn for the second year in a row. “Our goal is to give female founders access to practical tools, connectivity and culture in the city with the largest percentage of women-led startups – Brooklyn!” she said. “This is a one of a kind event and I'm excited to see where this can go.”

Kick off the weekend with an energizing DJ set, then get down to business after an empowering meditation session. Throughout the event you’ll hear from keynote speakers like Jenna Lyons, Stacey London and Amanda De Cadenet. You’ll also have the chance to take part in workshops that focus on building confidence, exuding style, starting a company and more.

In your downtime you can get your shopping fix at the Other Shops, a curated collection of products made by innovative brands and designers.

Secure some spots to The Other Festival on Oct. 15 and 16 for you and your girlfriends. Just be ready to end the weekend brimming with new business ideas and new-found empowerment. Tickets are available for purchase here.
