- One month after the Buffalo tragedy hit our community, Spectrum News 1 hosted a town hall in Buffalo where community members discussed racism, gun reform, white supremacy, and mental health. The entire special will air this upcoming Tuesday, Jun. 14, evening at 8. The special will reair on Saturday, Jun. 18, at the same time. (Spectrum News)
- Long-time McKinley Principal Crystal Barton, a controversial figure in Buffalo Public Schools, no longer works for the district. According to records obtained by 7 News, Barton had been on paid leave since 2017 after a student filed a lawsuit claiming Barton ignored a request to form an LGBTQ group at the school. - Buffalo Police are trying to solve the case of the city's most recent shooting. According to police officers, a 32-year-old man was attacked near the corner of Genesee and Erb Streets early on Saturday morning. The victim was driven to ECMC in a private car.
